EVE Online: A Sure-Fire Way to Ruin Your Life

Posted on May 16, 2012May 16, 2012 by Chris McQuillan

I recently made a serious mistake.

I reactivated my account with EVE Online after a four-year absence, and became – almost immediately – hooked again.

A MMORPG, the game is without rival even within its field.  A single-universe sandbox with hundreds of thousands of players, the scale of the game and complexity of its market, combat and industry boggles the mind.  The graphics are continuously updated, and perennially glorious.

Seriously addictive, the game is pay-to-play (though this provides you with free upgrades for as long as the game continues).  The game takes months to come to terms with and fully understand, but the learning curve is manageable.

I’m presently attempting to write a Masters Thesis at Durham University.  Needless to say, this has caused some serious problems.

On a purely self-interested point, I do have eight invites to spare, so simply drop an email to chris.mcquillan@scifiheaven.net if you’re interested in one.  It gives you 21 days free play time.

To give you a better idea of the game, just watch below!
