Sci-Fi Alive and Kicking, Apparently

Posted on January 5, 2010January 5, 2010 by Chris McQuillan

The Producer’s Guild of America awards have gone a little sci-fi crazy, it seems.

Three sci-fi flicks lead the shortlist to be named the Best Picture.

Avatar, Star Trek and District 9 are all in the running to be named by a group of Hollywood Producers as the best film of 2009, but will face competition from films such as Up and Inglorious Basterds.

The winner will be announced on 24 January.

To those who said Sci-Fi was dying a slow death, please stand corrected.
