‘Serenity’ soars into top spot

Posted on December 19, 2005December 19, 2005 by Chris McQuillan

Joss Whedon’s recent sci-fi flick Serenity is currently ranking at a rather respectable Number One on Amazon.com’s Top DVDs. The chart is based on sales, so the movie seems to be doing quite well for itself.

Given that the movie received a rather lacklustre response at the box office, it will be interesting to see if the movie will, like the show on which it was based (Firefly), develop a cult following after DVD Release.

Fingers crossed for December 20th.

Serenity will be released in February in the U.K. and Australia.
