Kick Ass is another American comic book series about to become a film adaption. The comic is published by Marvel, written by Mark Millar and illustrated by John Romita, Jr. I can say, I have never read the comic book, or to be perfectly honest, ever will.
I can’t say how true to the comic book the film adaption stays, but the plot of Kick-Ass concerns a teenage boy, called Dave Lizewski. He decides to become a real-life superhero after being inspired by the heroes of his comic books. He soon encounters a mysterious vigilante called Big Daddy, and his daughter Hit-Girl, who are working to bring down the local drug baron Frank D’Amico.
