Patrick McGoohan Dies Aged 80

10042105Patrick McGoohan, best known for playing the title role in the 1960s cult show The Prisoner, has died in Los Angeles aged 80 after battling a short illness.

Born in March 1928, McGoohan won two Emmys and his credits included Danger Man (Secret Agent in the US), The Prisoner and Mel Gibson’s Braveheart.

McGoohan also wrote several episodes of The Prisoner himself under pseudonyms.

Condolences go out to the family and friends of Patrick McGoohan.

    Sorry to hear about the passing of Patrick McGoohan I always think of him as the best bond we never had.
    A great character actor always seemed to have an air of menace about him.
    A great loss………..
