“Little or no” CTU involvement next year?

Posted on May 16, 2007May 16, 2007 by Chris McQuillan

According to rumours dropped into the Sci-Fi Heaven mailbox this morning, the next season of FOX’s hit thriller “24” may feature “little or no” involvement of the Counter Terrorist Unit.

As fans of the show will know, CTU Los Angeles has become the main setting of the real-time thriller over the past six years, with the majority of the plot essentially hinging around events there and in the field.

Sounds good to me. Anything that will make this show less predictable and less stale is a good thing. Maybe this is just what the show needs – a true reinvention. Something to stop the writers from rehasing old clichéd plot lines. One can hope.

The season six finale of 24 airs this Monday on FOX, with a double bill starring Kiefer Sutherland.
